Ban for woman, 95, after fatal crash
A 95-year-old woman has been banned from driving for life after causing the death of a groundskeeper when she lost control of her car in a cemetery. Gertrude Lister, of Bray, Berkshire, was sentenced at Reading Crown Court to 16 months’ imprisonment suspended for two years after she pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving. She was also ordered to pay £535 costs.
A police spokesman said Lister caused the death of Paul Mills, 47, in the incident on 14 February last year.
