SNP stance attacked

The SNP’S ban on the use of GM technology came under attack – and while Lynas said that Europe’s anti-gm stance was a global embarrassment and should be seen for what it is – “a shameful political concession to mis-information and public hysteria” – he saved his harshest words for the Scottish Government’s stance, saying: “The SNP’S ‘clean and green” excuse for its ban on genetic engineering is a bad joke which betrays the party’s ideological shallowness and its preference for image over reality.”
