Car bursts into flames at petrol station

A petrol station next to a busy motorway was sealed off yesterday after a car burst into flames.

Emergency crews were called to the Heart of Scotland services on the M8 in North Lanarkshire at around 4pm.

Firefighters were working to extinguish flames from a car but there were no reports of any injuries.

The M8 is the busiest motorway in Scotland and one of the busiest in the United Kingdom.
