Magic of the cup /Holders Arsenal dumped out by Nottingham Forest

-

Nottingham Forest caused the biggest upset of the FA Cup weekend yesterday when they won 4-2 in a thrilling third-round clash against holders Arsenal.

Championship side Forest went into the game on the back of five matches without a win and without a permanent manager following former Rangers boss Mark Warburton’s recent sacking.

But a double from Eric Lichaj and goals from Ben Brereton and Kieran Dowell rolled back the years and put them into tonight’s fourth-round draw.

“This has to be something we build on,” said caretaker boss Gary Brazil. “This club should be playing against the Arsenals of this world and they should be beating them. These fans deserve to be watching Premier League teams.”
