Shop worker on life support after attack

A shop worker is on a life support machine after he was attacked when he refused to serve underage youths.

Three teenage suspects are understood to have turned violent after they were told they could not buy either cigarettes or alcohol.

Scotland Yard said two employees were attacked in the shop on The Broadway, in Mill Hill, north London, at around 11:45pm on Saturday night.

A 49-year-old was rushed to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
