Shock as block of insulation blown into garden

-

Heavy winds which battered a seaside town caused a huge piece of insulation to blow into a shocked resident’s garden.

Robert Blaikie, 53, says the large blue block was blown into his garden from a nearby construction site.

Winds of around 80mph hit Scotland on Hogmanay – the day that a massive block of insulation landed in Mr Blaikie’s garden. His wifefranceshaddescribed the dramatic scene at their Port Glasgow, Inverclyde, home as something “from the Wizard of Oz”.

Robert said: “If it had fallen on someone then it would have hurt them.”
