Search stopped after microlight ‘false alarm’
A search for a microlight which reportedly fell out of the sky has been stood down after police concluded that the incident near Stirling was a “well-intentioned” false alarm.
Officers launched a search following reports of a microlight descending into woodland near Cambusbarron on Sunday.
Inspectorantonstephenson said: “I would like to thank our colleagues from Killin, Ochils and Lomond Mountain Rescue Teams, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and the Scottish Ambulance Service who have helped with the comprehensive search.”
