M&S names new finance director

Marks & Spencer has made another top-level change by recruiting Dixons Carphone executive Humphrey Singer as its new finance boss.

Singer joins as chief finance officer, bringing to a close a four-year tenure as group FD at the electricals retailer. It follows Helen Weir’s decision to step down from the finance role, with her M&S departure set for 31 March.
