Dundee United Hit for six

Shameful. Disgrace. Embarrassment. Spineless. Abysmal. Unacceptable. Choose any or all of the aforementioned words to describe the performance of United in Saturday’s 6-1 defeat at Falkirk and I am sure none of the 1,200 Arabs who were there to witness it would disagree.

Quite how we could capitulate in such a manner against a team who had been thoroughly dismantled at Tannadice only a few weeks ago is very worrying. I only hope this is a freak performance and will be the kick up the backside the players need. The manager is not blameless. Bringing in two new signings and playing players out of position was a gamble that spectacularly backfired. The word defeat this Saturday is not an option.
