Livingston Halkett will bounce back

Last weekend’s defeat to Queen of the South was desperately disappointing.

What made it harder to digest was gifting the winning goal in what proved to be a rare mistake from captain Craig Halkett. We shouldn’t hang him out to dry, though, as he has arguably been our best player this season. What is important is he learns from it and moves on. We have also dropped to fifth in the table as a result but have the ideal opportunity to get back on track when we visit bottom-of-the-table and winless Brechin this weekend. I believe we need a couple of new additions this month that will aid our play-off push. It’s so tight in around the middle of the division that some fresh blood might make all the difference.
