Good Samaritans found following CCTV release

Four men who helped the victim of a fatal hit-andrun in Dundee have been traced following a CCTV appeal.

Images of the Good Samaritans who helped 67-year-old pensioner John Ogston into his home following the incident had been released by police.

Mr Ogston later died in hospital from his injuries after being struck by a vehicle about 11pm on New Year’s Day on Mains Road.

Police said the four men, who were not suspects, were helping with inquiries. Officers returned to the area at 10:30pm on Monday to carry out interviews.
