Straw that made Whittlesey’s back: Mascot on parade at annual festival

The Straw Bear made its way through Whittlesey town centre near Petersborough yesterday. The 39th edition of the festival honours a past custom where ploughmen of the area were drawn to towns like Whittlesey when starvation hit.
