Two women are rescued after dinghy capsizes

Two people have been rescued from the water after their dinghy capsized in Ayrshire.

The Royal National Lifeboat Institutio­n (RNLI) received a call that four people were in the water after two dinghies tipped over near Largs.

Two men in the first boat were able to right their dinghy and climb back in.

Two females in the second boat were in the water for about 40 minutes before being rescued. Both women were uninjured.

A RNLI spokeswoma­n said: “The lifeboat was on scene within nine minutes of receiving the call.”
