Unacceptable face

-

Am I the only citizen on this planet that doesn’t have an active Facebook page? Mark Zuckerberg says Facebook is to revamp its approach to commercial posts as it tries to return to its original purpose – social contact – although I am sure it will retain some commercial components.

The social contact part, from what I read, seems to often involve bullying, which has always been around but now you can do it more efficiently by cyber bullying. I shake hands with my friends and avoid those that I don’t like, although I always try to be civil to everyone – a social skill that seems to have gone with the turn of the century.

I don’t have followers as I am not a leader, just a retired teacher. I look at the leaders around the world, politicians and sportspeople, and I don’t see many role models to follow.

Let’s return Facebook and the internet back to what it should be used for – sharing family photos, idle chat and funny cats. DENNIS FITZGERALD
