Brewdog cracks £10m target in just 90 days

A Scottish craft brewer has extended its latest crowdfunding drive after exceeding an initial £10 million target.

Aberdeenshire-based firm Brewdog said it had raised more than £11.3m from more than 24,000 investors in 90 days.

The company will now extend its Equity for Punks crowdfundingprogramme until either October or when £50m is raised.

Funds raised so far will be used in part to build a new brewhouse at its Ellon site.

Other plans include spending £10m on a new brewery in Asia and £5m on an Australian facility.
