Armed robbers are hunted after failed hold-up

Two armed men have attempted to rob a store in Montrose.

The attempted robbery happened at the Premier Store in St Peters Place at 9:55pm on Saturday.

The alleged offenders entered the store and pointed a weapon at the female shop assistant. The alarm was quickly activated and the two men made off empty handed.

The shop assistant was shocked, but unhurt.

Police want to trace two men. They are believed to have gone into a lane next to the store and may have run off into either Christies Lane or India Street.
