Sick of excuses

I wonder if the Growth Commission report has concluded that, were Scotland to leave the UK and have all fiscal levers at our disposal, measures taken by the Scottish Government would result in a £12.7bn boost to the Scottish economy and wipe out our £14bn annual deficit at a stroke?

Arch Stainton Can’t wait to read the report and the assumptions it is based upon.

Luckie Mucklebackit And the cost of leaving the UK?

Soracte This is all deflection because Sturgeon must use anything to divert away from the crisis surrounding Police Scotland, the NHS and Named Persons fiasco to name but three.

Proud2bescots Meanwhile an unbiased report says the UK will get a £650bn windfall following Brexit. Of course, none of this will come to Scotland due to the negative SNP. Everything they touch is a disaster. Who actually believes any dodgy dossier they produce? To date none has been anywhere near reality.

Lana58 Where was the Scottish Government’s Economic Impact Report upon Scotland leaving the UK (RUK being a trading partner four times the size of the EU)? What a myopic bunch of hypocrites.

Jackplus20019 What is the point of even asking a leopard to change its spots when it cannot (or in this case will not)? As long as SNP consider independence to be the overriding need of Scotland and do not let the electorate decide whether they are wanted or not, nothing will change. Their arrogance knows no bounds.

Lyre Nosered Excuses? I’ve heard no excuses. On the contrary the SG has consistently supported the Scottish NHS with extra funding to make up the funding shortfall from Wasteminster. Further, they have protected Scottish NHS from predation by commercial interests with an agenda to privatise the service. Without the SG’S intervention the Scottish NHS would be in dire straits indeed. To place the blame for underfunding firmly where it belongs is not making excuses. Mr Mckay’s ill-thought-out tax increases The fact that there is no sound reason to separate British Transport Police (other than the fact that “British” is in its name) The state of Scottish education What’s the chances? 200 years. What good can come from spitting on his legend, other than to get attention for herself.

Kenney Mortimer By all accounts, Burns was a dreadful human.
