Partick Thistle Weather extremes

There’s a huge irony that, with the weather so far this week, the top flight clubs return to action in the Scottish Cup.

For Thistle, it was a week’s training in the Costa Del Sol. The players were on double sessions and finished their week with a game against Chinese Superleague side Shanghai Shenhua. A few of us took in the game and a little of the Spanish sunshine and hospitality. We saw a fine Thistle performance as they ran out 2-1 winners. The scoreline did not reflect how comfortable Thistle looked throughout 90 minutes. Our goalkeepers didn’t have a save to make in either half. We did witness a great strike by Demba Ba and the return of Abdul Osman, Callum Booth and Mustapha Dumbuya was a welcome sight.
