Aberdeen Cup tie will decide

I think many fans wouldn’t mind a January trip to Dubai for warm weather work such as that enjoyed by the team, and whether fans end up begrudging the team for this luxury will be dependent on the cup tie this weekend.

Of the non top-tier teams we could have been drawn against, St Mirren are one of the toughest and the game is made all the more difficult given that they have not been on any winter break and remain match fit.

It will be interesting to assess if the break helps or hinders the players in a game, the importance of which should not be underestimated. A successful Scottish Cup campaign has become important this season as we should be aiming to improve year on year and, at the very least, a final appearance should be achievable.
