Community parties for murdered MP

Parties in honour of murdered MP Jo Cox will be held across the country on what would have been her 44th birthday, it has been announced.

Plans to repeat the Great Get Together, which was held last year on the anniversary of Ms Cox’s death, on a more “positive” date were revealed at a Downing Street reception to celebrate her legacy.

The second annual Great Get Together will take place across the country from 22 June – Mrs Cox’s birthday – until 24 June.
