Forecourt group makes waves with water deal

- By SCOTT REID

MRH, the petrol station and forecourt retail company, has signed a three-year deal with water retailer Wave to supply water and wastewater services covering hundreds of sites.

The company owns almost 500 sites in England and Scotland, most of which are branded Esso, BP or Shell. Its forecourt network also includes hundreds of Costa Express outlets, a number of Subway and Greggs outlets and 304 Hursts stores.

Robert Swann from MRH said: “Wave has helped us make significant operational cost savings across our Scottish sites, so the company was the natural choice for consolidating our water and wastewater supply needs across the whole of our network.

“This is the first time we have put all sites in England and Scotland under a single water contract.”

Wave is the joint venture between Anglian Water Business and NWG Business. It serves some 300,000 business customers across the UK.
