Boxing champ in terrorism charge

British boxing champion Anthony Small has been charged with encouraging terrorism.

The 36-year-old, now an Islam convert from southeast London, is accused of encouraging acts of terrorism after posting a video on social media in September 2016.

Small is due to appear in custody at Westminster Magistrates’ Court next Wednesday.

The former professional boxer won the British and Commonwealth light middleweight titles in 2009.
