Bread baskets found dumped in Glasgow sewer
Industrial bread baskets have been found dumped in a sewer in Glasgow.
Maintenance workers from Scottish Water discovered 30 of the baskets last week.
The unusual find was made when staff lifted a manhole cover on Cemetery Road in Cardonald.
It took workers three hours to clear the plastic trays.
Scottish Water’s Andrew Szolowski questioned why anyone had thought it was a good idea to dispose of the baskets in a sewer. “It’s not clever and it could have caused serious problems with flooding,” he said.
