Suspect package discovered at police station

A suspicious package found outside a police station in Camelon has been safely blown up.

Bomb squad officers carried out a controlled explosion after the package was discovered on Main Street at about 8:40am yesterday.

The street was sealed off during the incident, but has now reopened.

A Police Scotland spokeswoma­n said: “The contents of the package were subsequent­ly found to pose no risk to the public.”
