Funeral date set for Cranberries singer

The funeral of The Cranberries singer Dolores O’riordan will be held in her home town in Ireland next week.

A private funeral mass will be held at the Church of Saint Ailbe in Ballybricken, County Limerick, on Tuesday followed by a family burial.

An inquest into O’riordan’s death was yesterday opened and adjourned until 3 April while the coroner awaits the results of tests.

O’riordan, 46, was found dead in a London hotel on Monday. Police are not treating the death as suspicious.
