- By SCOTT REID

Law firm Anderson Strathern is celebrating a successful tendering process after being appointed to all six lots of a legal services framework for the Advanced Procurement for Universities and Colleges (APUC).

The firm, which has 52 partners and more than 240 employees across offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow and East Lothian, was top ranked in three out of the six lots and second in the remaining three – one of only two firms to be successful in securing a place on all six lots of the panel.

The six lots for legal services under the APUC framework include an all-encompassing “one-stop-shop” and separate lots for commercial business, property and estates, people/ HR matters, charity and international.

Meanwhile, the firm’s focus on legal services for further and higher education clients has also been strengthened by linking with Mills & Reeve in England and Carson Mcdowell in Northern Ireland to be appointed as Uk-wide sponsors to the Association of Heads of University Admin- istration. Managing partner and APUC framework manager, Murray Mccall, said: “It is fantastic to see the wide range of expertise within the firm coming together.

“To be top ranked in three [lots] is a great achievement, and to be on all six Government lots and all six APUC lots at the same time really does demonstrate the depth of the legal services we offer.”
