Torrance of rage
The SNP has been accused of ‘Trumpian tactics’ amid claims it lampooned journalist David Torrance in a party political broadcast set at a party titled “What has the SNP ever done for us?” after a Monty Python sketch.
Has David Torrance got a copyright on the geeky beard and specs look?

One of the nastiest party political broadcasts it has ever been my misfortune to watch. Anyone who does not think that was a direct slight at one particular journalist who has the temerity to criticise the SNP is naive in the extreme.

This is what totalitarian regimes like the Third Reich and the Soviet Union under Stalin did – attack journalists they don’t like. Starts with attempts to ridicule and denigrate, soon moves on to nastier treatment. altnacealgach
I’m sure if one of the opposition parties was to do a PPB featuring a plump, middle-aged woman in high heels and a dress two sizes too small who was shouting her mouth off about independence, they would accept that lots of people in the country are like that and not assume it was aimed at one particular person.
Duncan Mitchell
Well it shows the SNP fear the power of Mr Torrance articles on readers.

Why has the SNP spokesperson not given a clear and specific denial of the accusation instead of just making some vague comments intended to imply that the accusation is wrong?
Not a lemming
Note also the party goers all spoke with a weegie accent and Davey spoke with a more educated Edinburgh accent.
This is classic SNP stuff - get their Weegie core voters to despise Edinburgh.
