£60 million low carbon innovation fund launches
A £60 million fund to help drive low carbon innovation has now opened for business.
The Low Carbon Infrastructure Transition Programme (LCITP) will fund large-scale projects which support the ambitions of Scotland’s energy strategy, the Scottish Government said.
Projects which deliver low carbon heating solutions, integrated energy systems, and ultra-low emission vehicle charging infrastructure will be able to apply for up to £100,000 to develop business cases.
Financial support of up to 50 per cent of the total capital value of a project up to a maximum of £10 million per project is available for capital-ready projects. Climate Change Secretaryroseannacunningham will officially launch the fund at an event at Scotland House in London this evening, which will be attended by business leaders, experts and environmental campaigners.
