Introduction of VARS is gathering pace

The roll-out of video assistant referees (VARS) will move one step closer today when the game’s law makers meet in Switzerland.

The International Football Association Board is holding its annual business meeting in Zurich and is expected to vote for VARS to be approved at its agm in March. That will put VARS in football’s laws and they could be used in the World Cup finals this summer.
