Cuddly wolves
Mark Boyle (Letters, 18 January) says the escape of a wolf from a private zoo shows that it is wrong to say that they are not a danger to people.
This one did not attack any person or sheep. In truth, wolves in the wild steer clear of people. In none of those countries where they live are there, to my knowledge, any records of wolves injuring or killing humans.
Such have, however, not infrequentÂly been attacked by bulls and cows
