Homecoming queen: 18th-century portrait back in the room it was commissioned for

A painting by one of the most famousenglishportraitartists of the 18th century is returning home to go on display at Duff House in Banff in the room it was originally hung in.
Painted by Sir Joshua Reynolds, the portrait feature Dorothy, Countess of Fife, who lived at the A-listed Georgian mansion with husband James Duff, the second Earl of Fife.
The picture is on loan from the Duke of Fife’s collection.
