Ngog signs up for his second stint with Coyle
Ross County manager Owen Coyle has signed former Liverpool and Paris St Germain striker David Ngog for a second time.
Coyle bought Ngog for Bolton in a £4 million deal in 2011 but has secured him on a free transfer this time.
The 28-year-old was a free agent after departing Greek top-flight club Panionios.
Ngog, who spent two years back in his native France with Reims after a short spell at Swansea in 2014, has signed until the end of the season following a successful trial.
Coyle said: “I’m delighted to bring a player of David’s calibre to Ross County Football Club.
“Having worked with him before at Bolton, I am all too familiar with his qualities and I think he will be an excellent addition to our attacking options.”
Meanwhile, Motherwell boss Stephen Robinson has stressed that highly-rated midfielder Chris Cadden will not be sold on the cheap.
Reports claim that Aberdeen are weighing up a move for the 21-year-old who still has 18 monthsleft on his Fir Park contract.
Motherwell rejected a £100,000 bid from Hearts for the Scotland Under-21 player last summer and it was reported that the Steelmen also knocked back an offer of around £400,000 from Oxford United in the last window.
Said Robinson: “Nobody has contacted me or the club, it is all hearsay.
“I am not surprised people are interested in Chris, he is a top talent and one of the best young players in Scotland, for me. But we have a valuation of him and we have not been in touch with anybody yet.
“He certainly won’t be sold for anything under our valuation. For a while I think people thought they could get our players on the cheap and that is not going to happen.
“The board are putting me under no pressure to sell players.”
