Man arrested after body found in flat

A man has been arrested in connection with the death of a 78-year-old man in Inverclyde.

It follows an early morning incident on 9 January where police were called to a flat in Ann Street, Greenock at 12:20am.

Police have named the 78-year-old man, who was pronounced dead at the scene, as John Sharp Snr.

A 47-year-old man has been arrested and is in police custody in connection with the death.
