Flagging interest
Once again, Nicola Sturgeon provides evidence she only represents the fractional element of the voters in Scotland who are in favour of independence, whatever the cost. She does not set out to find common ground on policies for a better Scotland but is preoccupied with the constitutional issue. The sooner a majority of MSPS can succeed in passing a vote of no confidence in this divisive politician the better.
For the moment, Nicola Sturgeon needs to concentrate on lifting standards in NHS Scotland, education and policing, rather than lowering flags. ANDREW WHITE
