The Scotsman

Off the ball

-

For two days The Scotsman has had lengthy articles regarding the remark made by Craig Levein that Hearts winning meant “normal service has been resumed” – an offhand remark made in the heat and excitement of the moment. It was clearly not planned and the reaction of Neil Lennon seems to betray the thinnest of skins (not an attribute many would associate with him).

He has refused to laugh it off and has made an equally stupid remark, “the gloves are off ”! He should take an example from Hearts’ reaction to a disappointed Hibs manager likening Hearts to “a pub team”. It was simply laughed off for the daft remark it was and I urge Mr Lennon to do likewise.
