Climber airlifted to hospital after fall on mountain

-

A climber has been airlifted to hospital by rescuers after falling from a mountainside.

The man had been scaling Corrie an Lochan, in the Northern Corries area of the Cairngorms, when the incident happened.

Emergency services were called just after 11am yesterday to rescue him.

Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team members responded, as did a Marine and Coastguard Agency Helicopter.

He has since been airlifted to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness, with his condition not believed to be lifethreatening.
