Flu jab fears

-

While it is all too easy to blame the Government for any and all problems, I believe that in the case of the continuing flu epidemic there is reason so to do. A few years ago the farming press was full of advertising/advice stressing the importance of vaccinating cattle against pneumonia. Believing this to be in the interest of animal welfare, I followed advice, the result being a dramatic increase in bovine respiratory problems. On ceasing the practice after two seasons, there was an equally dramatic decrease in the problem. The only winners in this “scare campaign” were the drug companies and the veterinary practices who pushed their products, doubtless becoming much richer in the process.

By introducing pathogens into humans via the flu vaccine, is the same scenario not only possible but highly likely? No doubt the drug companies, with the backing of government departments are making a fortune from the flu vaccine, but is there any real benefit to public health? Will the introduced pathogens not be exhaled and then inhaled by someone else ?An honest answer is probably needed, but who expects an honest answer from drug companies, bankers or a Conservative government ?
