Dundee United Agony and ecstasy

Saturday’s win at Alloa takes us into the fifth round of a competition we Arabs find both exhilarating and heartbreaking. Ten Scottish Cup finals, but only two glorious wins in May, make it a competition we both love and hate but one we always take seriously.

The draw has given us a tough away fixture at Pittodrie and we will go into that game as serious underdogs. It is, however, one we can afford to have a go in, as our priority this season is always the league. With that in mind we welcome the Greenock ’Ton to Tannadice on Saturday and they will be buoyed by their cup result at East End Park. It is important, however, for United to put on a performance in front of the home fans to atone for recent league results.
