Driver ‘was victim of targeted attack’

A driver involved in a rush hour crash was the victim of a targeted attack, police have said.

The 22-year-old man was seriously assaulted after the collision with a black car in Anniesland on Tuesday.

He was driving a silver Renault Scenic on Fulton Street when the incident happened around 5:30pm.

Police say several men then got out of the other vehicle and attacked him with weapons.

The victim was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment and has since been released.
