Good to see MPS on the business and pensions select committees drawing a bead on the big four auditors linked to the Carillion crash.

KPMG, Deloitte, PWC and EY are in the Westminister crosshairs, having had letters from the committees demanding answers on the work they did for the collapsed giant since 2008.

The profession is too often Teflonlike when things go badly wrong in the corporate world.
