Peace looms at Royal Mail

Royal Mail said yesterday that it had reached agreement with unions after a dispute over pay, pensions and working hours.

It said that Communications Workers Union deputy general secretary Terry Pullinger has agred the deal but it still has to be approved by the CWU Postal Executive Committee. Royal Mail wants to close the final salary pension scheme.
