Piers Morgan shared US President Donald Trump’s comments that “I would not say I’m a feminist” from his interview. @jeremynewberger said: “In @piersmorgan’s interview Trump admits he isn’t a feminist, he thinks he could have done Brexit better, and he wants a better climate deal. None of this is breaking news. At best, one of those challenges on The Apprentice, to put on an interview with the president.” @Papilonbelier jokingly added: “Oh no! He was my feminist icon!!” @Taniel said: “Incisive journalism: asking a man who has said that changing diapers is “up to the women” and who advised husbands to not “act like the wife” if he’s a feminist.”

Russian police bundled opposition leader Alexi Navalny into a vehicle, moments after he appeared at a rally to encourage voters to boycott what he says will be a rigged presidential election in March. Protests are taking place across the country. The government says the election will be fair. @Neilmacfarquhar said: “Navalny just detained. Earlier, from hiding, he had taunted police by saying he would give his address then gave the Moscow address where Putin is officially registered.” @marcbennetts1 added: “Teen power at anti-putin protest in central Moscow. Crowd chanting ‘down with the Tsar’. Police orders to disperse ignored.” @Fordtruckdoc said: “I’m sure it’s all just a part of the ‘fair election’ Putin promised.”

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar said he will campaign for the country’s near-total ban on abortion to be changed. A referendum will take place this summer on whether to repeal the eighth amendment of the Irish constitution, which effectively bans pregnancy terminations. @cmaemcclean said: “In simple terms, for many the time of making choice about having a baby is post conception. That’s a cultural shift and the law is out of step. Government wants electorate to change the law accordingly.” @Liamoodian added: “Ah so a poll is published saying majority for repeal - next day Varadkar confirms his support for repeal.”
