AMBITIONS
Two prominent Scottish gaming entrepreneurs have teamed up with a pair of former Aviva senior broker executives to launch a tech business focused on the commercial insurance broker market and targeting international growth.
Chris van der Kuyl and Paddy Burns, co-founders of Minecraft games developer 4J Studios, are part of the team behind “insurtech” business Broker Insights that seeks to “transform” commercial insurance distribution and trading.
It aims to bridge the information gap between brokers and insurers around customer data by boosting the distribution and sales of insurance products through brokers across the UK, cutting costs and improving the bottom line.
The venture also says it is in “advanced” talks with a number of leading UK and global insurers and is targeting up to 100 brokers to join the platform over the next year.
