A man has been robbed at knifepoint on a train in Glasgow by a thief carrying a bottle of Buckfast.

The 22-year-old was targeted as he travelled with a friend on the Whifflet to Dalmuir service shortly before 11pm on Thursday.

After the train left Westerton station, another man came and sat next to them. He allegedly pulled out a knife and ordered the victim to hand over his iphone. The victim gave his phone to the robber, who left the train at Drumchapel station.

The incident occurred on the 9:57pm Scotrail service.
