(Stoke Poges / Edinburgh) Suddenly, at Western General Hospital , after a short illness, on January 24, 2018, Alex, (retired Professor of Computer Science, Heriot Watt University and late of Unisys), dearly beloved husband of Rosemary, much loved dad to Kenneth and Alison, a very precious grandpa to Callum, Alex, Tomoaki and Miyako, dear brother of Stuart and brother-in-law to Catherine. A funeral service will be held at Duddingsto­n Kirk, Duddingsto­n Village, Edinburgh, on Friday, February 9, at 10 am, thereafter a private cremation will take place. Family flowers only, please. Beloved husband of the late Mey, dear and caring father of Amanda and Catherine, proud and loving grandad of Calum, Emily, Magnus, Eleanor, Hilary, Maria and Agatha, special brother-in-law of Mary and a good friend. Funeral service at St John the Evangelist, Lothian Road, on Wednesday, February 7, at 12 noon, to which all are invited, followed by a private cremation.
