Ditch your diet as it’s almost time for the fourth annual Edinburgh Restaurant Festival, from 5-25 February, with participan­ts including Natasha Goldie of Las Iguanas, Raymond Sutherland of Badger & Co and Kandice Rosser of eteaket, all pictured. Check out the website for offers, which include compliment­ary bomboloni with warm caramel toffee cream and limoncello (if you buy a starter and main course from the à la carte) at Contini George Street. Alternativ­ely, join events including The Secret Dining Experience on Thursday 15 February. Buy a ticket (£30), turn up at 1pm or 3pm at The Melville Monument on St Andrew Square and you’ll be escorted to a surprise restaurant. We’re pretty sure it won’t be Maccy Ds.
