The outgoing leader of Sinn Féin, who dealt with the Labour leader during the peace process in the 80s and 90s, said on the Andrew Marr Show that Jeremy Corbyn would “benefit the people of Britain” as Prime Minister. @politicshome reported: “Gerry Adams: I would like to see ‘outstanding’ Jeremy Corbyn become Prime Minister.” @Otto_english argued: “However you frame it - the Gerry Adams endorsement of Jeremy Corbyn is a very bad look.” @mgshanks said: “Gerry Adams helpfully praising both Tony Blair and Jeremy Corbyn in the same interview. Stand by for Labour meltdown...” @Armsman47 added: “If you listen to the full interview, you will hear that Corbyn played a major role in the IRA putting down their weapons. Corbyn helped to bring about a peace process. Not that many here will want to hear that.”
