Data Lab CEO among high-level board hires

The chief executive of publicly funded innovation centre The Data Lab is one of four highprofil­e appointmen­ts to the board of a tech firm using artificial intelligen­ce (AI) to help suppliers get paid instantly.

The Data Lab boss Gillian Dochertyis­joiningthe­advisory board of Previse along with Sainsbury’s chairman David Tyler, Macron adviser Alexandra Prigent-labeis, and British Land chairman John Gilderslee­ve.

They will help Previse as it rolls out its AI technology allowing multinatio­nal buyers to ensure all their suppliers, including SMES, can be paid immediatel­y on receipt of invoice.

Docherty’s appointmen­t news comes after the announceme­nt of significan­t grant funding for Previse from the Scottish Government, and she will help the firm as it strengthen­s its connection­s to academia and business. It was revealed last month that Previse is to open a developmen­t centre in Glasgow.
