Avant Homes in £21m Armadale scheme
Avant Homes, the Stirlingbased housebuilder, has been given the green light to build 110 homes at a £21 million development in West Lothian.
The company acquired the ten-acre site, which is located off the A89 at Armadale, in partnership with Robertson Homes.
The properties to be built by Avant will be a mixture of three and four-bedroom detached houses. Earthworks are due to start on the development immediately, with the first homes ready for occupation later in 2018.
Avant Homes Scotland managing director David Knight said: “Armadale and the Central Belt are hugely popular areas for homebuyers and we are committed to meeting demand for much-needed homes here and across Scotland.”
The company’s development will be built on a greenfield site previously used for farming, after the land was allocated for development by West Lothian Council. The partnership with Robertson Homes will see it build 27 affordable homes on behalf of Places for People.
Avant Homes Scotland is part of the wider Avant Homes group. The housebuilder currently has 12 developments in its portfolio stretching from Pitdinnie Grange in Cairneyhill to The Dukes in Ferniegair.
For the last financial year to 30 April, Avant Homes posted both record revenue and operating profit numbers. Revenues increased 45 per cent year-on-year to £369 million, while operating profits leapt 107 per cent to £45m. These were delivered having achieved 1,636 total completions – a rise of 35 per cent. 0 David Knight – ‘popular area for homebuyers’
