Heart of Midlothian Mclaughlin the saviour
Hearts took the honours in the first leg of our double header with St Johnstone but Saints dominated the first half and could easily have won. That they didn’t was due in no small part to Jon Mclaughlin. We should certainly be making every effort to hold on to our best keeper since Craig Gordon, although the better he plays the more attention he gets down south.
David Milinkovic is also fast becoming a favourite, displaying a great attitude and a knack for scoring at the right time. With new players and a difficult surface it was a performance based more on perspiration than inspiration. Let’s hope Craig Levein learned more about them than Tommy Wright about us with a cup quarter-final place at stake this Saturday.
